Designed for travelers seeking a sustainable and comfortable alternative to domestic flights, this journey offers an unforgettable safari experience guided by local experts.

Day 1 — Scenic Rail Journey & Mikumi Safari Experience

Your journey begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Dar Es Salaam around 04:30 AM, followed by transfer to the SGR train station. Our local guide will assist you throughout the check-in process and passport/travel procedures for a smooth departure experience.

Board the modern SGR express train departing approximately 06:00 AM, and enjoy a comfortable scenic ride to Morogoro arriving around 07:40 AM.

Upon arrival, meet your professional safari driver-guide for breakfast before continuing to Mikumi National Park by road. The drive takes approximately 1.5–2 hours, passing through landscapes connected to Tanzania’s southern highlands and regional trade routes toward Zambia, Malawi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Arrive at Mikumi National Park for park registration, safari briefing, and an exciting game drive through one of Tanzania’s most accessible wildlife destinations.

Day 2 — Maasai Cultural Experience & Return Journey

Later, transfer back to the train station for your scenic SGR journey to Dar Es Salaam departing approximately 14:25 PM and arriving around 16:10 PM.

Upon arrival, transfer back to your hotel within Dar Es Salaam city center.
